Grover and Joan Croft welcome you to Spring Ridge Farm Online. Until you are able to visit us in person, we invite you to look over our Mammoth Jacks and Jennets on the world wide web. We are located in lower East Tennessee in beautiful McMinn County. Our farm  consists of 165 acres and  is located approximately 50 miles from Knoxville and 60 miles from Chattanooga. We have been producing the long ears  for 25 years.

Our reputation has grown in the jackstock industry for the quality of our animals with notoriety extending beyond Tennessee. In 2008, two jacks that were raised at Spring Ridge, were sold to Oklahoma’s largest jackstock breeder, Bill Garrett, who won two prestigious show awards. A 3-year-old, 64˝-inch-tall jack, Oklahoma Masterpiece, earned grand champion honors at the Texas State Fair, and Oklahoma Grover, 2˝ years old and 62˝ inches tall, was selected as reserve grand champion at the Missouri State Fair. This past year, we bred the Grand Champion at the Kentucky State Fair. In addition to the jack going to Oklahoma, we have sold over 75 jackstock in the past 16 years to buyers in Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Montana, Arizona, Texas, Mississippi, California and West Virginia.

The Mammoth Jack  is the largest North American donkey. It descended from several large European donkeys imported to the United States from about the time of George Washington. To be classified as Mammoth, mature jacks have to measure at least 14.2 hands (56.8 inches) high and 14 hands (56 inches) for mature jennets.
